Walking & Hiking

Walks & Hiking in Estepona.

We have compiled a few walks to get you started and some links to the more strenuous for experienced walkers.

Lets start with walks around the town, these can be gentle with very few hills to contend with and with the paseo being some 2.6km long that would be a gentle start for the novice.

With a flat tiled surface, sea views and adjacent to Playa Rada, with a wide walking area and benches, chiringuitos and tapas bars along the way for refreshments it could take a while to complete.

First walk is from Av. Litoral to the Marina, we’ve chosen this walk due to the free car park just down from Carrefour and places to rest and get refreshments along the way. You can also reverse this walk and parking is available in and around the marina.

Old Town

From the same car park and taking in the old town with it’s multi coloured plant pots lined streets to the Orchid House, then back to the Castle San Luis and the Mecado San Luis taking in some of the historical parts of Estepona.

Then on to the Plaza de Flores where you can visit the cultural centre and enjoy some tapas and refreshments in the square before returning or just carry on exploring the area. This is a gentle walk and not far in distance, the time it takes depends on you but I would take my time and explore.
