The White Night Estepona 2024

This year we will have a free concert by Diana Navarro, who will perform at 11:00 p.m. in the Plaza del Ajedrez. A faithful defender of musical traditions, she invites us on a sound journey from the simplicity of the piano in the most absolute direct, to the most surprising fusion, demonstrating once again that the copla is timeless.

After achieving resounding success as an actress representing Doña Concha Piquer at the Spanish Theater in Madrid, Diana wanted to pay tribute to this great artist and the genre of the copla, recreating her most emblematic and also most unknown songs so that the younger generations can have as a reference a woman who, at the age of 14, was the first Spanish to act on Broadway and the first actress to have sound film images in the world, among other achievements throughout her career.

On the other hand, all museum spaces in the city will remain open to the public from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with free admission.

This open day will be at the Archaeological Museum, located in the old Town Hall, with the presence of the municipal archaeologist Ildefonso Navarro, and at the Ethnographic, Bullfighting and Paleontological Museums. In addition, you can visit the Casa de Las Tejerinas exhibition of paintings ‘Landscapes’ by Paloma Ripollés and the solidarity photography exhibition ‘Un click por Gatlang’ by Antonio Montes, in room 2. Likewise, you can access them in the same schedule to the Orquidario Botanical Park, as well as to the Corominas Dolmen Interpretation Center, by appointment at telephone 626912311.

La Noche en Blanco 2024, which this year will be dedicated to ‘Los Sueños’, will also offer a series of free cultural and leisure activities in different spaces in the city. The first will begin at 8:00 p.m., with the Batucada ‘Oblo Eleguá’ in García Caparrós Square, an Afro-Brazilian percussion group that, after the performance, will have a parade that will run along Avenida de España.

At the same time, the Municipal Music Band will perform the concert ‘Music to Dream’ in the Plaza del Reloj, under the direction of Maestro José Antonio López Camacho. The children’s audience will also be able to attend the story-telling ‘Dreaming with stories’ in the Children’s Library of the Padre Manuel Cultural Center, with the writer Valeria Kilesova, and a route through the murals of Estepona will begin, starting from the entrance of the Orquidario.
