Wolfgang Durán (Málaga, November 5, 2002) is the son of a Spanish mother, Juana, and an English father, Wolfgang Hubert, and lives in the Cadiz municipality of Algodonales, where he is in his last year of secondary school.
This circumstance, half Spanish, half English, made him feel like a stranger to others, so that, from the age of 10, he found an outlet in painting through which he simply put his disappointments and least experiences on paper. pleasant, although he states that he has found friends and feels accepted today.
Likewise, he shows his gratitude to his parents, to his older brother, by whom he has always felt protected, and to the teachers at his school, “who helped me to continue being who I am, and to be able to develop my personality freely.”
For him, in life it is important to reach out to people and break prejudices, “only together can we change something for the better, and thus have a quality of life without fear of the other”.
Despite his youth, he has already had several exhibitions. At the end of November 2019, he held the first one at the Casa de la Cultura Ronda. On this occasion, he presents a collection of impressionist-style works that reflect feelings and situations in an abstract and colorful way.
Among his plans, he highlights his desire to study Psychology and Art, in Seville.
